Construction of a new bungalow: Le Frangipanier
We were able to see the construction site for our new bungalow get underway. After digging the holes, CASE CONTAINER installed the blocks that will support the containers that will serve as the base for the future gîte.

An eco-sustainable wall: a wall made of recycled tires!
After razing an old wall and a platform that was used (long ago!) to drain the manure from our grandparents' oxen, we can build our new retaining wall. It will act as a separation from the neighbor.
Out of conviction, but also, it has to be said, because of its cost, we've opted for a wall made of recycled tires (salvaged here and there). Once up, we'll plant it with climbing plants and other evergreens. We'll be sure to show you the results. In the meantime, we'll take you through the stages of construction.

A wall made of recycled tires, and more!
Our wall made of recycled tires is taking shape. We're up to 1m50 high. We still have about 3 rows of tires to install.
Episode 2: Building the Frangipanier, our new bungalow
For almost 3 months now, we've been waiting for the sequel...., which is slowly arriving...
This is it! The holes around the plots have been filled and we saw the first container arrive, followed a week later by .... the second!
The main thing now is that the work can finally start in earnest.

Our recycled tire wall, the end!
Our recycled tire wall is finished!
After (slowly but surely) assembling 11 rows of 30 tires (330 tires used!), filling them with soil or gravel, tamping them, we've finally added the finishing touch: the finishing touch!
If you have any ideas for ornaments, don't hesitate to contact us!

Last episode: Building the Frangipani tree, the end!
There were no tears or bloodshed, but we were almost there! So much suffering and difficulty to bring our project to fruition. But we made it. Phew!
We are proud to present our brand new gîte, Le Frangipanier, which will be open from May 1, 2017 to welcome its first guests. Feel free to discover it on our website and talk about it around you.
